On Thursday, February 17, 2011, from 12:30-1:30 p.m., attorneys Chris Messerly and Philip Sieff from Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi will discuss the strategies and emotions in the case resulting from the greatest man-made catastrophe in Minnesota history, the 35W Bridge Collapse. More than 130 attorneys and staff from Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi contributed more than 20,000 pro bono hours over three years to this case making it the most significant pro bono contribution in the firm's history. Messerly and Sieff will also address recoveries from the State of Minnesota, the engineering and construction companies that caused the collapse, and how they secured $1.5 million to fund the memorial honoring the survivors of collapse and those who lost loved ones.
