The Minnesota Bar Board of Examiners has announced the results for the July 2009 Bar. The University of St. Thomas School of law posted an overall bar passage rate of 88.7 percent and a first-time bar passage rate of 90.74 percent. The overall bar passage rate was 88.93 percent for all takers.
This year was consistent with the bar passage rate for previous years, but this year’s overall bar passage rate was slightly lower than previous years meaning that University of St. Thomas bar takers worked against the trend.
This year’s percentages place the University of St. Thomas School of Law second in both categories behind the University of Minnesota and ahead of Hamline in third and William Mitchell in fourth.
