Professor Susan Stabile Announces 2009 Fall Prayer Series
Professor Susan Stabile will lead the five-part Fall Prayer Series designed to introduce or deepen participants’ experiences with different types of prayer. Each session of the series will include a talk, time for individual reflection or guided meditation and sharing of the prayer experience. Participants will also receive materials to continue individual prayer at home following each session. Participants may attend any or all of the sessions. The series will begin on Tuesday September 8, 2009 and will continue every Tuesday through October 6, 2009. Each session includes lunch and will be held in MSL 242 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The dates and topics of the Fall 2009 Prayer Series are as follows:
September 8, 2009: Praying with Scripture
September 15, 2009: Praying with Poetry and Art
September 22, 2009: Centering Prayer
September 29, 2009: "Analytical" Meditations
October 6, 2009: BioSpiritual Focusing Prayer
Professor Stabile will guide all Fall Prayer Series sessions except the third, on September 22, 2009, which will be led by Professor Jennifer Wright.
