Are there restrictions on courses that LL.M. students may take?

You are required to take two courses: Lawyering Skills for LL.M. Students (4 credits) and LL.M. Mentor Externship (2 credits). In addition, you will be provided with a list of elective courses to choose from and will be offered academic counseling to help with your course selection. You will chose 18 credits (six to eight courses) from the list of electives.

Can LL.M. students participate in clinics?

No, LL.M. in U.S. Law students are not able to participate in the clinical program.

Can I transfer to the J.D. program from the LL.M. program?

Yes, we will consider LL.M. students for transfer to our J.D. program. Under certain circumstances, you can earn both your LL.M. and J.D. degrees in three years.

Are any part-time or distance learning programs available?

No, our program is a one-year, full-time program located on our campus.

I am a foreign student; will I be given visa information?

Yes, once you are admitted you will work with our International Admissions Office regarding all of the necessary paperwork for a student visa.
