Kendra Brodin is the Director of Career and Professional Development at University of St. Thomas School of Law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. She later earned her Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Pennsylvania where she served as President of the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly. She earned her Juris Doctorate with honors from the University of Minnesota. Brodin also holds a Certificate in Advanced Leadership Studies from the University of St. Catherine and has received specialized education in personal coaching from the Institute for Life Coach Training.

In 2012, Brodin was awarded the Minnesota State Bar Association President’s Award for her work on an innovative statewide coaching program for new lawyers in the first three years of practice.

Prior to joining the University of St. Thomas, Brodin built a thriving private practice providing consulting for law firms, executive coaching for lawyers, and Continuing Legal Education programs for legal organizations on professional, career, and personal development topics such as creating individual development plans, retaining top legal talent, integrating work and personal life, enjoying deeper career satisfaction, demonstrating leadership skills, resolving conflict, and managing time and stress. Brodin also has previous experience private legal practice and non-profit management.

Brodin has contributed professional development articles to national publications of the American Bar Association and the National Association of Women Lawyers.

Brodin holds leadership positions in the Minnesota State Bar Association Life and the Law Committee and Esquire 36, as well as the Professional Enrichment Committee of Minnesota Women Lawyers. She is also an attorney mentor for Minnesota Women Lawyers, and she serves on the MWL Leadership Award Selection Committee.

Additionally, Brodin sits on the Board of Trustees of a national investment fund, volunteers regularly in her community, and is a professional church musician.
