Adjunct Faculty, Assistant Hennepin County Attorney

Michael B. Miller is an Assistant Hennepin County Attorney from Minneapolis. He is certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NITA) as a civil trial specialist, and has tried more than fifty cases, including medical malpractice, personal injury, civil rights, products liability and eminent domain, to verdict. He is counsel to Hennepin County Medical Center, and represents that hospital in civil actions, chiefly in defense of medical malpractice cases. He has lectured at many CLE seminars, and taught at past NITA programs. He has been selected by the Minnesota Journal of Law and Politics as a "Super Lawyer."

Through lectures, demonstrations and simulations, students will learn how to conduct pretrial negotiations, prepare and respond to motions, deliver opening and closing statements, introduce evidence, respond to objections and conduct direct and cross-examinations of witnesses.
