As a Senior Contract Negotiator at U.S. Bank, Rachel Lorentz is responsible for U.S. Bank's vendor contracting process, including negotiating, drafting, and reviewing master service agreements, statements of work, and nondisclosure agreements necessary for U.S. Bank's business operations.  Rachel advises the Bank's Business Lines on compliance with U.S. Bank's internal contracting policies and procedures, and ensures that the Bank's vendor contracts are in compliance with state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.  On a daily basis, Rachel collaborates with Business Lines to build and maintain strong working relationships, understand business goals and objectives, analyze and mitigate risk, and address pre-litigation matters.

Before joining U.S. Bank, Rachel spent nearly 10 years in private practice, representing clients in commercial litigation and transactional matters involving contracts, real estate, eminent domain, land use and zoning, employment, franchise, and estate matters.  Rachel's practice had a strong appellate focus, and she used her knowledge of appellate legal research, writing, and oral advocacy to teach Lawyering Skills III at the University of St. Thomas School of Law.
