Dave Bateson is President of Bateson Consulting LLC, a consulting practice working with organizations and individuals on professional development with a focus on mentoring in the legal profession. Dave served as Director of the Mentor Externship Program at the University of St. Thomas School of Law from 2005-­‐2010. He was a founding member of the National Legal Mentoring Consortium and served as Vice President of its board. He is a frequent national speaker on mentor relationships, and mentoring in the legal profession. He has helped organizations design, build and maintain formal mentor programs, and offers training for mentors and mentees on creating successful mentor relationships.

Dave also provides individual coaching and consulting for attorneys on wide range of topics for career discernment and career success. Dave blogs about mentoring and professional development for lawyers at www.batesonconsultingllc.com/blog.  

In addition to his coaching and consulting work Dave has a full time alternative dispute resolution practice as a mediator and arbitrator.
