Barb Weckman Brekke graduated from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in 2005 and together with her classmates and partners, founded Brekke, Clyborne & Ribich, L.L.C. that same year.  She is a champion of solo and small law firms and enjoys sharing resources about building and managing a small law firm with her students.

Barb practices estate planning, probate and small business law.  Besides practicing law, she serves her community as a Scott County Commissioner and is an active volunteer in Shakopee and Scott County.

CRN: 43168 3 Credit Hours Instructor: Barbara J. Weckman Brekke This course will introduce students to business decisions made in small firms. Students will examine Decision Areas and analyze them through Decision Issues. Students will develop a framework for making ethical business-side decisions, identifying stakeholders in decision-outcomes, and look holistically at the consequences of specific decisions on stakeholders. Students will prepare a mission statement and business plan.
