Steven M. Adams is presently Senior Adviser to Wayzata Investment Partners ("Wayzata"), an investment fund manager located in Wayzata, Minnesota with over $5 billion under management. 

Previously, Mr. Adams was a founding Partner and General Counsel of Wayzata.  He was an Investment Principal with the predecessor business to Wayzata, which was part of Cargill Financial Services Corporation.  Prior to that, he was employed as a Senior Attorney in the Law Department of Cargill, Inc. and worked as an Associate at Dorsey & Whitney in Minneapolis. 

Along with acting as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of St. Thomas, Mr. Adams was elected a member of the City Council of Deephaven, Minnesota in November 2006 and is currently serving a term expiring in December 2010.  He has also served as a member of the Citizens Finance Advisory Committee of the Minnetonka School District since 2002.
