Federal Clerkship Information Session

Tuesday, April 16 12:30 to 1:30 pm

University of St. Thomas School of Law

Room 244

Clerking with a federal judge is one of the best ways to start your legal career regardless of what type of law you want to practice. Join CPD and Professor Berg for a presentation on federal clerkships. We hope to have several alums who are currently clerking talk about their experience and how they got their clerkships. Professor Berg, a former clerk, will talk about what judges look for when they hire judicial clerks.

Finally, CPD will talk about the nuts and bolts of the federal clerkship process; the details of the application process will be covered at a separate session. This program is aimed primarily at 2Ls who will be applying for federal clerkships that would start after graduation, but all students who are interested in learning more are welcome.

Please note: If you plan to apply for federal clerkships but cannot attend the session, please pick up the materials after the event and let CPD know that you plan to apply.
