CLE - Digging on a Dime: Asylum Research for Pro Bono Attorneys
Please join Valerie Aggerbeck, UST-Law Research Librarian and Sarah Brenes (J.D. ’08), Staff Attorney at The Advocates for Human Rights, for a training on asylum-related research. This training is designed to provide guidance on how to effectively and efficiently research country conditions and case law to support asylum claims. The trainers will provide research methods and resources related to specific countries and types of claims that are common among asylum cases filed in Minnesota. The training will include suggestions on searching local news sources, country-specific reports by organizations following global issues that affect asylum seekers, and key cases to reference when preparing claims related to specific countries or types of claims.
When: Wednesday, July 10th from 3:00-4:30 p.m.

CLE: One regular CLE credit will be applied for.
