Advent Retreat in Daily Living: Voices of Advent
Advent is an important time for Christians. It is a time of preparation. Even though we approach the end of the fall semester (and exams), it is important that we take some time to enter into this wonderful season.
The Biblical stories associated with the Advent season presents us with a varied cast of characters. In Zechariah we get the voice of disbelief, in Herod the voice of fear, in Elizabeth the voice of blessing, and in John the Baptist the voice of preparation. We also get Mary and Joseph, the voices of trust and faith.
During this retreat we will pray with each of these figures, unearthing what it is each of them has to each us about our own lives of faith. We will be invited to explore what each of these voices look like in us.
As are all of our retreat programs, this program is sponsored by the Holloran Center. Lunch will be served.
