Barbara Jordan once said: “What the people want is very simple - they want an America as good as its promise.”  That is what they want of courts and the legal system: courts that are fair.  But until recently, few courts measured their fairness and little attention was paid to what fairness means and how we might achieve fairness in courts.  Judge Kevin Burke will talk about how we achieve fairness in courts and why it is important to measure court fairness.
