
UST Law School welcomes class of 2011 |
| The University of St. Thomas School of Law welcomed the class of 2011 with a new orientation program this year. Starting on Monday, August 18, students participated in a full week of orientation activities which included the course Foundations of Justice, the Voluntary Academic Success Program, and opportunities to get to know both the UST Law community and the larger Twin Cities community. |
“How an Attorney Can Lose Everything” Program to be held at the University of St. Thomas School of Law |
| MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The University of St. Thomas School of Law will host a program “How an Attorney Can Lose Everything By ‘Borrowing’ Client Funds” on September 3 from 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. at the University of St. Thomas School of Law Schulze Grand Atrium in downtown Minneapolis. The event will feature Tom White, a former attorney and felon and Mike Colich who served as White’s defense counsel. The discussion will be moderated by Hank Shea, Professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law and White’s prosecutor. |
Visions of Women’s Leadership Conference |
| MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The University of St. Thomas School of Law will host “Visions of Women’s Leadership” on October 24 at the Minneapolis campus of the University of St. Thomas. Visions of Women's Leadership will explore the contributions of women in both the legal and business fields and address the need for ethical leadership and gender equity in the workplace. Jill Wine-Banks and Mary Pawlenty are scheduled as keynote speakers, along with two separate panels of leaders in the legal and business community. |
