Rush previously led a solo practice focusing on ethics and professional liability advisory, appellate, and family law in St. Paul.  She brings nearly two decades of experience in teaching law students, developing and presenting programs for lawyers, and serving the legal profession, lawyers, and the public to the School of Law.  Rush served as an adjunct professor at Hamline University School of Law since 1996 where she taught Professional Responsibility and Legal Advocacy.  She taught Professional Responsibility as an Adjunct at William Mitchell in 2008 and 2009. She is a frequent presenter at CLE and other programs for lawyers and law students. She is the Chair of the Minnesota Board of Lawyers Professional Responsibility, previously served on the Minnesota Supreme Court Task Force on the Discipline System, and was a volunteer in the lawyer disciplinary system for 12 years, first with the Second DEC and then with the Minnesota Board of Lawyers Professional Responsibility, where she served as Vice-Chair. Judith also serves on the American Bar Association Co-Lap Law Student Assistance Committee and is past chair of Minnesota Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers.  She is past chair of the MSBA Life & the Law Committee, and its Law Student and Benefit Bike Ride Committees, and has also been active with the Ramsey County Bar Association on its Board and committee and its Volunteer Attorney Program.
