Contact mentor to arrange initial meeting by September 7, 2012
Research Mentor and prepare a Personal and Professional Development Plan (PPDP)
Attend initial meeting with mentor to discuss and complete the PPDP
Finalize and submit PPDP by September 28, 2012
Log all program activity contemporaneously in the Mentor Log 3.0, including:
- All points of contact
- 18 hours of fieldwork
- 4 distinct experiences
- 2 debriefings with mentor
Contact mentor by the end of March to schedule a time for year-end meeting
Meet with mentor to review completed year-end mentor log
Submit completed year-end mentor log by Friday, April 26, 2013
Complete year-end evaluation and interest survey

Register for 930 Mentor Externship (as a 2L) and 933 Mentor Externship II (as a 3L)
Attend all small and large group class
Complete assignments outlined in the Mentor Externship Seminar Syllabus and Course Assignments (available on Blackboard)
Prepare introductory letter and resume to send to mentor by email (provide a copy to Faculty Mentor)
Contact mentor to arrange initial meeting by September 7, 2012
