If you have found a job (whether legal or not, even if you are still looking for the dream job) please log in to Symplicity and update your employment information. If you are already logged into Symplicity just go to the homepage, and click on “Graduate Employment Survey” under the Shortcuts list on the right hand side of the screen. As you know, we must report this information on every single member of your class in March for ranking purposes. So, the sooner you fill out this survey, the sooner we will stop emailing you asking you to do it.

Personal branding is a critical component of any career. Your skills, personality and values all tie into your personal brand and help others — particularly, employers — know what’s important to you, what you’re good at and what you’re able to give back.
This article offers a high level overview of Personal Branding including the process and benefits of taking control of your own brand. [W]e are all being judged all the time, even when we’re sleeping (our online profiles are still up!). Second, we have to constantly sell our ideas to teachers, employers, managers, our friends and family, to make things happen in our lives.
What’s a good way to get that edge in perhaps the toughest legal market in decades? Develop a personal brand.
Although everyone’s personal brand is different, there are a few things that all successful “branders” do to maintain their identities.
It will totally change the way that you approach your job search. It will change the way you write, the things you communicate and even the way you feel about your search. And, best of all, its easy to do, but so uncommon that it will make you shine.
