Our Staff:

Cathy Powell, Interim Director of CPD While at the Minnesota Attorney General's Office, Cathy worked in Consumer Enforcement and represented the Minnesota Departments of Commerce and Public Safety. She was also a litigator at Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. Cathy earned her B.A. from DePauw University and her J.D. from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Ashley Bowes, Coordinator of CPD Ashley joined CPD in January of 2007 as the Coordinator.  She earned her B.A. from Boston University and worked in the non-profit sector for several years before relocating to the Twin Cities.  She is currently pursuing her M.A. in Leadership in Student Affairs at the University of St. Thomas.  Contact Ashley at abowes@stthomas.edu or (651)962-4860.

Our Services:

Students can find help in shaping their vocational goals and understanding the career options a law degree creates.  We can also help with practical skills such as resume writing and interviewing.  Finally, we host numerous programs throughout the year that provide useful information for planning your career.

Employers are invited to post jobs on our website and to participate in On-Campus Interviews.  We also invite employers to connect with our students through career development programming or by assisting with mock interviews.  CPD is also happy to promote off-campus events hosted by local employers.
