Alanna K. Moravetz, Director of CPD Alanna has worked as an educator and consultant in professional development with attorneys, judges, accountants and engineers for more than twenty years. Her work focuses on professional and leadership development that enables individuals to connect their core values with the work that they do every day. She is a licensed attorney whose experience includes serving as the Director of Education and Organizational Development for the Minnesota State Court system. Catherine Powell Finnegan, Assistant Director of CPD Before joining the University as a career counselor for law students, Cathy worked as an attorney in a variety of capacities. At the Minnesota Attorney General's Office, Cathy worked in Consumer Enforcement and represented the Minnesota Departments of Commerce and Public Safety. She also worked in employment law and business and commercial litigation at Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. Cathy is currently earning her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology in the University of St. Thomas School of Applied Professional Studies. Ashley Bowes, Coordinator of CPD Ashley joined UST in January of 2007 as the CPD Coordinator. She earned her B.A. from Boston University and worked in the non-profit sector for several years before relocating to the Twin Cities. Our Services:
Students can find help in shaping their vocational goals and understanding the career options a law degree creates. We can also help with practical skills such as resume writing and interviewing. Finally, we host numerous programs throughout the year that provide useful information for planning your career.
Employers are invited to post jobs on our website and to participate in On-Campus Interviews. We also invite employers to connect with our students through career development programming or by assisting with mock interviews. CPD is also happy to promote off-campus events hosted by local employers.
