The Government and Public Sector Lawyers Division (GPSLD) Web page devoted entirely to law students. Here you’ll find articles and information on topics such as loan repayment and forgiveness, legal careers in the public sector, and surviving law school. Look around, check out the publications...if you like what you see, join the Division! You must be a member of the ABA to join GPSLD, but law student membership in the ABA is just $25 per year and public sector lawyers division is free for law students.

The Department of Justice hires law clerks through its Summer Law Internship Program (SLIP) and graduating 3Ls through its Attorney General Honor’s Program for graduating 3Ls. There are many hiring contingencies in the Department of Justice including the Antitrust Division, Civil Division, Civil Rights Division, Environment and Natural Resources Division, Executive Office for Immigration Review, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Office of Justice Programs, Professional Responsibility Advisory Office, and the Tax Division.
