Public Interest Job Search Databases

Searching for a job in public interest or government is best done through word of mouth.  However, there are a number of job search databases where such organizations post jobs for law clerks and new attorneys.

  • CPD highlights public interest clerkships and jobs in the bi-weekly Public Interest Press, opportunities will occasionally be posted on CPD's Career Center.
  • You can also find them on the websites of your favorite public interest organizations.
  • Opportunities across the nation are listed on www.pslawnet.org.  Simply login, select search "opportunities" for “internship-paid."  You can select any state or city you wish!
  • Remember, many public interest organizations, nonprofits and government offices are often running on shoestring budgets, you may need to secure a fellowship to fund your public interest job during the summer or post-graduation.
