Nicole Fredricks Jackson works as the director of student life and alumni engagement. In this role, she is responsible for cultivating an inclusive and engaged student and alumni community. Nicole supports and advises student organizations, including student government; serves a key role in diversity and inclusion efforts; helps coordinate efforts to facilitate the integration and participation of all students in the School of Law community; serves as the executive director of the Alumni Board; manages alumni committees and plans alumni relations events; and plans and executes the School of Law annual giving program.
 
Nicole joined the School of Law in 2008, working as the director of alumni relations and as an adjunct instructor in the Mentor Externship program. Prior to joining the School of Law, she worked as an attorney for 11 years, working as an assistant Dakota County attorney, assistant Morrison County attorney, a Brainerd city prosecutor, an attorney at Askegaard, Robinson, Murphy & Schweich, P.A., and as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard Zimmerman, Crow Wing County District Court.  Jackson is licensed to practice law in the state of Minnesota.
 
Nicole is pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of St. Thomas, with an emphasis in student affairs leadership. She is a member of the ACPA - College Student Educators International and the National Association for Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA). She is also a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA), American Bar Association (ABA), Hennepin County Bar Association (HCBA), and Minnesota Woman Lawyers (MWL). Nicole serves on the MSBA’s Life and the Law and its Law School Subcommittee and the HCBA’s Diversity Committee.
