Nicole Fredricks Jackson works as the Director of Alumni Relations, serving in this role since November 2008. In this role she is responsible for identifying and implementing engagement opportunities for law graduates, including implementing CLE opportunities, working with the Alumni Board, Annual Giving Committee, and other Alumni Committees, overseeing Lawyer Search, and inviting alumni to participate with student groups and other department programs. She is also an adjunct instructor in the Mentor Externship Program.
Prior to joining the School of Law, Jackson worked as an Assistant County Attorney at the Dakota County Attorney’s Office, where she worked for over seven years. Jackson has also worked as an Assistant County Attorney at the Morrison County Attorney’s Office, a City Prosecutor in Brainerd, Minn., an attorney at Askegaard and Robinson, P.A., and as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard Zimmerman, District Court Judge in Brainerd, Minn. Jackson is licensed to practice law in the State of Minnesota.
Jackson is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA), American Bar Association (ABA), Hennepin County Bar Association (HCBA), and Minnesota Woman Lawyers (MWL). She serves as a co-chair for the MWL Program Committee, the chair of the MSBA Professionalism Committee’s Resources Subcommittee, and as a co-chair for the Law School Initiatives Committee.
Jackson is pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of St. Thomas, with an emphasis in student affairs leadership.
