Student Employment

The American Bar Association, which is responsible for the accreditation of law schools in the United States, sensibly limits the amount of hours a student may work while attending law school on a full time basis. Law School is an academically challenging environment, and many students find that they need to readjust their study habits to maximize their learning potential.

Students who are enrolled in 12 or more credits may not work more than 20 hours per week (whether working inside or outside the School of Law.) If you have questions about student employment, or about this policy, please contact Scott Swanson, Director of Academic Achievement.
