Now is the time to make the investment in a tool that tackles your daily law school class needs, final exams, and ultimately the bar exam. Students should treat this laptop investment as an essential professional and business tool. Electronic exam software (Minnesota Bar Exam uses the same software) is a basic word processor run within a secured environment and the computing power needed is minimal but it is paramount that students own a newer computer that is well maintained and functioning properly.
Computer purchase: The University of St. Thomas will permit (only once during your graduate school career) you to request an increase in your cost of attendance budget (maximum of $2,000) for out of pocket expenses incurred by you (the student) for the purchase of a computer.
