Blackboard is a learning management system (LMS) that enables professors to communicate with students, post course materials and announcements, email students, etc. Students can also communicate with each other using discussion boards and work collaboratively and independently in small groups using the virtual group space area. To access Blackboard, click on the "Tools" link in the St. Thomas website banner. Select the Blackboard link from the "Tools" list. Enter your St. Thomas username and password and click "logon." Once you log in, you can view the courses you are enrolled in on the right hand side of the page. You will not see the course if the professor has not made it available yet.

Our subscription to the CALI library includes over 600 lessons covering 32 legal education subject areas. Faculty and students can access the CALI exercises via CD-ROM (available from the library service desk) or via the web at cali.org. Please stop by the library service desk or call us at ext. 2-4900 for a CALI authorization code. Librarians can help identify CALI lessons that would be useful to you.
Many professors place books and other materials on reserve for students. You can determine whether a professor has places materials on reserve by doing a course search or an instructor search in ClicNet. Do not hesitate to stop by the circulation desk if you need help locating materials for a particular course.
