The course will explore the various techniques used by business entities to raise the capital needed for operations. The professor will invite lawyer specialists from his firm to present the legal aspects of their form of capital raising e.g. venture capital, bank loans, IPO’s, etc. Some attention will be given to the recent financial crisis and the Dodd Frank regulatory response.
