Children and the Law

(Law 880; 3 credits) 
This course will examine the ways in which the legal system treats children differently than adults and the justifications for such treatment.  It will explore issues involving children's rights, child abuse and neglect, termination of parental rights, evidentiary issues in juvenile court hearings, status offenses and juvenile delinquency.
