Scholarship and Clerkship Opportunities for Current Students

The legal community supports diversity through other employment opportunities for students of color in the Twin Cities.

Minnesota Minority Recruitment Conference
The Minnesota Minority Recruitment Conference is a program of the Twin Cities Committee on Minority Lawyers in Large Law Firms, or TCC, a non-profit formed in the early 90's to help address the issues of attorneys of color working in the legal community.  The MMRC includes an annual job fair aimed increasing legal diversity in the Twin Cities area by matching top-quality 2L and 3L students from local and national law schools with local legal employers.

Minnesota Minority Clerkship Program
Sponsored by the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Minnesota Minority Clerkship Program is designed to match selected students-of-color from Minnesota law schools with participating Minnesota legal employers. Participating employers will hire selected students-of-color after their first-year of law school for a summer associate clerkship and provide a “real world” legal experience to him or her. Conversely, selected students would provide the employer’s organization with valuable legal support, as well as a unique and diverse perspective.

Twin Cities Diversity In Practice
Twin Cities Diversity In Practice is an association of 18 law firms and 12 corporate legal departments with a single mission: to attract, recruit, advance and retain attorneys of color in the Twin Cities legal community. Diversity in Practice is also dedicated to promoting the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul as a great place for attorneys of color to develop professionally and personally.
