What do you do with a justice and peace studies major or minor?

Bridget Green. Major in sociology; justice and peace minor.

As part of her justice and peace class, Bridget wrote to a political prisoner in Northern Ireland.  He wrote back, and a regular conversation developed.  The next semester when she studied in Ireland she visited him and his family.  Her comment on her foreign studies: "Best experience of my life."  

Four years after graduating, she began teaching fourth grade in a Catholic school on the island of Saipan near Guam in the Pacific. 

Now she is back teaching in inner-city schools in the Twin Cities.
