Urban Immersion

Our Twin Cities-based community partner HECUA (Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs), offers highly-regarded off-campus urban immersion educational experiences focused on social justice issues.  HECUA's experiential learning opportunities provide links between academic study and hands-on work for social change.  The semester-long Metro Urban Studies Term (MUST) is especially popular with JPST students, as are the Writing for Social Change and Environmental Sustainability programs.  Students can also earn JPST internship credit through these HECUA programs.
