Web Application Development

Graduate ApplicationThe web development group at the University of St. Thomas delivers a host of key services, vital to the University's success.  From creating helpful student applications like the class finder, to developing online admissions applications, IRT's application developers assist the University in advancing its online services.

Years ago, prospective students mailed the University to obtain an informational booklet and application form.  Today, in the graduate school alone, over 2000 prospective students have used the WMS online application form to apply to the graduate programs at the University.  The actual benefits of moving services online are clear.  Students save time and the University saves money in processing costs.  The hidden benefits are less obvious.  With a collection of 2000 applicants, the University is able to analyze data and aggregate demographics to fill gaps and take advantage of trends.

The WMS development team utilizes several technologies like Java, JavaServer Faces (JSF), and Hibernate to develop University applications.  Our team is constantly on the look-out for frameworks and methodologies that will help us deliver fast, easy to use, and robust applications to our clients.

If you would like to schedule an appointment or find out more about what we can do to assist you, please contact your local IRT Consultant. If you wish, you can contact them through this online form. We will work with your group to design, prototype and deliver an application that benefits students, or University faculty and staff.
