Conference Call Instructions

Choose the directions based on the type of phone you are using for your conference call.

ITE Type Phones

The ITE style phone can handle up to three parties including the originator via the TRANSFER/3-WAY button. Detailed Instructions on how to operate ITE phones, including conferencing/3-way calls, can be found here.


Alternatively, if a Meet-Me Bridge is arranged the ITE Type Phones are capable of conferencing with a total of 12 People per call including the originator.


 

 


Cisco IP Phones 7941 & 7961

The Cisco IP Phones – Models 7941 and 7961 can accommodate a total up to six people (including originator) if conference soft key exists on set.  Detailed Instructions on how to operate Cisco IP phones, including conferencing calls, can be found here.

 

Alternatively, 12 people, which include the originator, can conference call if a Meet-Me Bridge is requested. 

 

 


PolyCom Conference Phones

A total of 12 people per call including the participants in the room can conference call using this model of PolyCom.

Meet-Me Phone Bridge   
If you have a need to conference more than three separate phone numbers at one time, a “Meet-Me Bridge” is required. A Meet-Me bridge is capable of hosting up to 12 including the originator.  Callers also have the ability to phone into the university using a local number or a toll free number. The Meet-Me bridge has to be requested and calls arranged at a predetermined time to a single UST number.

Additionally, bridge lines that require more than 12 lines may be obtained through a voice services vendor. Please contact the IRT Tech Desk for more information if you would like to contract a vendor for your voice conference.
