Please use these instructions for installing Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) on your personally owned Mac operating system

Before installing SEP, please be certain to uninstall any previous anti-virus software application on your computer.  You will need to be logged on to your Mac with an administrator account, or have access to a password for an administrator account.  

Uninstall Sophos Anti-virus and Sophos Network Updater

• Uninstall Sophos by going to hard drive>library>Application Support>Sophos Anti-Virus>Remove Sophos Anti-Virus.pkg
• Double click this package to remove Sophos program
  
• Uninstall Sophos Network Updater by going to hard drive>library>Application Support>Sophos Anti-Virus>Remove Sophos Anit-Virus Network.pkg
• Double click this package to remove Sophos Network updater

Downloading SEP

Click here to download SEP

1. Click on the link for the Mac operating system.
2. Next read and accept the End User License Agreement (EULA).
3. Enter your Net ID and password. 

Installing SEP

1. Once the SEP package is fully downloaded, the installation process will begin automatically.  You will see the following message:
   
   
   
2. Follow the on screen instructions until you see the final installation window that looks like this:
   
   
   
3. Restart your computer.
   
4. Run the Software updater from the main menu.
   
   
   
5. Set your Auto-Protect preferences as follows:
