Connecting Game Consoles and iPhones

You will need to locate the MAC address on your game console to have it registered in Clean Access.

 

All game consoles on campus will need to have their MAC addresses registered in Clean Access in order to connect to the internet.  Use this guide to find the MAC address on your game console, and the call or email the Tech Desk to have the game registered in Clean Access.  The Tech Desk will also need your NetID, Location, and game type to complete the registration. 

Nintendo DS

  1. Turn the DS on and access the game.
    (You can only access WiFi options via the in game menu, not under DS settings).
  2. Select “Settings.”
  3. Select “Nintendo WFC Setup.
  4. Select “Options.”
  5. Select “System Information.”
  6. The MAC address will be displayed there.

Note:  Only Nintendo DS games that are Wi-Fi enabled will be able to access the Wi-Fi menu options.

Nintendo Wii

  1.  From the Wii Channel menu, select "Wii Settings."
    (the round button on the bottom-left of the screen with "Wii" on it).
  2. Select "Internet," then "Console Settings.”
  3. The MAC address of the Wii console is displayed on the first line.

Sony PS3

  1. Select “Settings” on the PS3 Home Menu.
  2. Navigate down and select “System Settings.”
  3. Select “System Information”. Here you will find the MAC address. 

Xbox 360

  1. Go to the “System” area of the Xbox Dashboard and select Network Settings. To get to the dashboard, have the user power on the 360 without a game in the unit. The “System” area is the far right option of the dashboard area.
  2. Select “Edit Settings.”
  3. From “Additional Settings”, select “Advanced Settings.”
  4. At the bottom of this screen you'll see a heading called Wired MAC Address. 

iPhone/iPod Touch

  1. From the home screen, select “Settings.”
  2. Within “Settings” select “General.”
  3. Within “General” select “About.”
  4. Scroll down to locate the “Wi-Fi Address” (MAC Address).
