Changing the Number of Columns

Working with Two & Three Column Layouts               back

The new Collage web sites have been created using a template design for a consistent look and feel for our visitors. Each site has both a three-column and two-column template layout available.

Three column layouts are usually used for higher-level pages. Column 3 is often used for spotlights, channels, or other graphics that provide announcements or advertisements.

Two column layouts are usually used for lower level pages. These layouts often are the final pages for basic text content and information.

To switch between three-column and two-column template layouts:

  1. With the new, blank page on the screen, from the Collage Toolbar, click the Metadata button. You may be prompted to save any changes you have made to that point.

  2. In the Metadata dialog box, click the drop-down arrow for Columns, and choose 2 or 3 for your column layout.

  3. Click the OK button when finished. When you return to your page, you will need to click the Refresh button to see the new template.
