Approving Assets in Collage back
Important! Remember!
All Collage assets that are uploaded, or for which changes have been made, such as web pages, image files, and PDF files, need to marked as “approved” before they will publish.
Marking an asset as “approved”: Using the context menu
- In the Collage portal, navigate to Content - Contribution.
- Navigate to the folder containing the page to be approved.
- Click the context arrow next to the page to be approved.

- From the context menu, you can:
a. Preview a page in the web browser for correctness.
b. Approve a page to go live with the next publishing cycle.
c. View the versions of the page to see its history.
- Click your choice. When you see the approval confirmation box, click OK.

Shortcut for Approval !
You can also approve a page or file by clicking on the “version” button for that page.
In our example, the “inthenews.xml” page, you can see that version 11 is the page that is currently approved and “live”, because it has the check-mark. Version 12 is a newer version waiting to be reviewed and approved. To approve version 12, point and click on the checkmark, then follow the prompts.
