ITE4 Phone Instructions

Hold
1. To place an existing call on hold, press the HOLD button.
2. To retrieve a held call, press the respective button to where the red light is flashing.
3. You may place a call on hold and dial another party. To alternate between calls, place the current line on hold and press the button next to the flashing red light of the other call to switch to the other line.

Transfer
1. To transfer once already connected to the initial caller, press the XFER button
2. Listen for Dial Tone and dial the next number
    To transfer to an on-campus phone
    To transfer to an off-campus phone
3. Once you hear the phone line ringing, hang up your phone. Once you hang up, the initial caller and the end caller will then be connected.

Three Way/Conference
1. Once on the phone with the initial caller, press the XFER button
2. Listen for Dial Tone and dial the next number
    To transfer to an on-campus phone
    To transfer to an off-campus phone
3. Once on the line with the end caller, inform them that you will be adding the initial caller to the call
    NOTE: If no one answers or the line is busy when attempting to add the second user, press XFER button to return to first caller and skip step 4.
4. Press the XFER button to add initial caller. All parties will now be connected.

Call Forward
1. Lift handset
2. Press *3 (You will hear confirmation tone once)
3. Dial the 5 digit UST extension where calls are to be forwarded
(If you wish to forward messages to your voicemail, dial 2-7778 at this step)
4. Listen for confirmation tone and then hang up
NOTE: After this process is complete you will hear the word: "forward" repeated 3 times every time you lift the handset. This confirms that your phone is being forwarded. You will still be able to dial as usual.

To Cancel Call Forward:
1. Lift handset
2. Press “#3”
3. Calls are returned to your extension

Speed Dialing (Stores up to ten numbers for quick dialing)
To store numbers:
1. Press #4*
2. Press which number you wish to assign the phone number to (0 – 9)
3. Enter the phone number you want assigned to the number in step 3
4. Hang up

To use Speed Dial feature:
1. Press #4 + Speed dial number

Call Waiting
1. Press HOLD (puts the first caller on hold)
2. Hang up
3. Answer the ringing phone to get second caller
NOTE: If you have voice mail, the call will roll over to voice mail box after the caller hears three ring beeps.

Last Number Redial (Allows you to redial the last outgoing external call. NOTE: This does not work for 5-digit internal dialing)
1. Press #9 at dial tone.

Pickup (You must be part of a Call Pickup Group)
1. Lift handset
2. Press #7
3. Answer the call from your pickup group

Call Park (This is a requested feature not available to all areas)
1. Press ACCESS *9
2. Listen for and remember call park number
3. Hang up handset

To retrieve a parked call:
1. Lift handset
2. Dial call park number
3. Call is retrieved
