Office 2013 Upgrade

|

On Monday, August 26, IRT will make MS Office 2013 available to all UST Faculty and Staff for UST managed PCs.

Computers that were replaced this summer have Office 2013 already installed, so this is an upgrade for all other leased computers. Currently there is not an Office upgrade available for Mac computers.  All public labs and classrooms will automatically be upgraded to MS Office 2013 by IRT before the beginning of the fall semester.

If you would like your UST assigned PC to be consistent with those computers, you will have the following options:

  1. Use MS Software Center to pull the application to your workstation:
    1. Install the application during the day, at your convenience. (install takes between 20-40 minutes, you must close all Office applications including Outlook email) To begin the process, please print out, or bookmark the instructions here
    2. Begin the install process before you leave the office, to be completed by the next morning. (If you have a laptop, you will need to secure it in your office and leave it plugged in overnight) To begin the process, please print out, or bookmark the instructions here
    3. Do nothing, and wait for the IRT push upgrade in January of 2014.
