IR&A Peer Analysis Project

Welcome to the IR&A Peer Analysis Project Web page.  This page contains several comparison groups.  These comparison groups were identified by UST personnel or through external agencies such as NSSE.  The Sacred Eight comparison group has been in existence at UST for several years.  The IPEDS comparison group is considered a ‘custom’ group with the institutions identified by past UST administrators.  The NSSE comparison group was provided as part of the NSSE Project undertaken at UST during the spring of 2005. The MN Private College Consortium (MPCC) group includes all of the members of the consortium. The Competitor comparison group was developed by identifying institutions with the highest number of UST admitted students who chose to attend college elsewhere. The data utilized to compare UST with other institutions were extracted from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) sponsored project known as the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS).  Comparisons are available in areas such as revenue, expenses, faculty salaries, enrollment, retention, graduation, and degrees awarded.  In addition, links have been added to this page so the user may explore variable definitions, identify comparison institution overlap, and link to comparison institution Web sites.  Please contact Michael Cogan at 2-6657 with questions or comments.
