The University of St. Thomas

Faculty Advisor Survey

In the fall of 2006, the Offices of Academic Counseling and Institutional Research & Analysis administered the Faculty Advisor Survey to all first time, first-year students at the University of St. Thomas (UST).  This survey was conducted to develop an internal baseline of the issues confronted by students and faculty during this critical interaction period.  Overall, 820 students completed the survey for a response rate of 63.6 percent.  The survey contained 35 questions designed to measure the initial experience of the student working with their faculty advisor. A description of the project, copy of the survey instrument, and preliminary report are available below.  For more information, please contact John Krebsbach (651) 962-6300 or Michael Cogan (651) 962-6657.
