The School of Social Work's Justice Lecture series on "Economic Justice for All" will feature guest speaker, Prof. Nekima Levy-Pounds
The School of Social Work's spring signature event, the Justice Lecture series on "Economic Justice for All" on Tuesday, March 18 at 5 PM. It will be held on the University of St. Thomas campus in McNeely 100.
This year's topic is focused on "economic justice for all" with guest speaker Nekima Levy-Pounds, Esq. She will discuss the rapidly changing demographics in MN and the impacts on the economy as a whole and on communities of color in particular. Professor Levy-Pounds will also share findings from a recent report produced by the MN State Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights regarding the underlying issues that contribute to economic inequality within MN and the challenges to professionals working with and on behalf of under-resoured communities.
