Artika Tyner successfully defended her dissertation proposal. The dissertation will be entitled: BEING THE CHANGE IN THE WORLD: The role of lawyers as transformational leaders and engineers of social change. It is a case study of lawyers who use their legal training to effectuate social change. She will begin conducting research this summer to create a leadership curriculum for lawyers.
