Faculty and Staff Recognition Program

The University recognizes staff and faculty for service commitment and outstanding achievements.  Honorees are recognized at the Annual Faculty and Staff Recognition Ceremony. 

Diversity Leadership Awards

The Diversity Leadership Awards recognize faculty, staff and an academic or service unit who have demonstrated – through their positive interactions with others, personal efforts, and unique contributions – a respect and value for differing backgrounds and points of view within the St. Thomas community.

Employee Service Awards Program

The University’s Employee Service Awards Program celebrates long-term commitment to the University. This program honors faculty and staff, with five or more years of service, at five-year milestones.

Employee Suggestion Award Program

The Employee Suggestion Awards Program recognizes and rewards eligible staff and faculty for creative ideas that, when implemented, result in increased efficiencies, net savings, new revenue or significant improvements in operations. This program contemplates contributions that may fall outside or beyond an employee’s normal job responsibilities.

John Ireland Presidential Award for Outstanding Achievement as Teacher-Scholar

The John Ireland Presidential Award for Outstanding Achievement as Teacher-Scholar recognizes outstanding academic achievement of faculty in teaching and scholarship that exemplifies the mission and values of the University of St. Thomas as a teaching institution committed to the teacher/scholar model.
