The Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) provide cost-free professional consultation and referral services for staff and faculty who experience work and personal-related difficulties. Immediate family members are also eligible for EAP services. Confidential consultation is provided in areas such as work relationships, conflict resolution, mental health, interpersonal relationships, family, loss and bereavement, and alcohol and substance abuse.
UST offers two retirement plan options for employees: one is funded by the University and the other by the employee. You choose how you want the University’s contributions to be distributed among a variety of investment funds offered by TIAA-CREF, and Fidelity Investments. Both plans rely on employees to manage their retirement savings accounts. To assist you, the University sponsors several financial planning sessions throughout the year. Employees may also contact the individual vendors to schedule a counseling session or to obtain online advice and access to financial planning tools and resources.

Through the Leadership Academy, the University sponsors workshops and seminars for employees and managers throughout the year. Sessions are free of charge and employees are encouraged to take advantage of all offerings they believe can help them succeed in the job.
