2016 Employee Annual Benefits Enrollment to Be Held Nov. 16-30
The 2016 employee annual benefits enrollment will be conducted Monday, Nov. 16, through Monday, Nov. 30. This is the only time during the year when you can make changes to your benefits without a “qualifying event” (also known as a change in status). Benefit elections made during this enrollment period are effective Jan. 1, 2016.
If you plan to participate in the Health Care or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and/or the Health Savings Account (HSA) in 2016, you must complete the online enrollment process to confirm your 2016 election(s). All other benefits require re-enrollment only if you wish to change your current enrollment selections.
All-Employee Transamerica Retirement Meetings Scheduled for Week of March 2
All St. Thomas employees are invited to attend a special town hall meeting with Transamerica Retirement Solutions. This is an opportunity to learn more about the move to Transamerica and have your questions answered. Transamerica representatives will be on site to discuss:
- Why the retirement program is moving to Transamerica
- What’s changing and what’s staying the same
- Which funds will be available and how the university has selected options for every investing strategy
- How to set up your new Transamerica account
- How to consolidate your savings
University to Administer Employee Satisfaction Survey
In partnership with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Human Resources will launch the university’s first employee satisfaction survey Oct. 7. The Noel Levitz College Employee Satisfaction Survey takes the pulse of campus professionals, both faculty and staff. It measures how employees feel about key topics, including campus culture, work environment and mission.
President Julie Sullivan to Hold Five Forums on Adjunct Union Issues
St. Thomas President Julie Sullivan will hold five forums with adjunct faculty members over the next two weeks to discuss issues related to whether a union should represent them.
President Sullivan Announces Senior Administrative Reporting Structure
Dr. Julie Sullivan, who takes office today as the 15th president of St. Thomas, announces her senior administrative reporting structure for her inaugural year.
St. Thomas Announces Free Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex Membership for Faculty and Staff
As one of the university’s wellness program enhancements, effective June 1, 2013, the University of St. Thomas will offer complimentary Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex (AARC) memberships to all regular full-time and part-time employees.
Human Resources Forms Wellness Committee; Introduces Vitality Wellness Program, a New Benefit for UST Faculty and Staff
The University of St. Thomas is enhancing its employee wellness program to encourage and promote employee health and well-being. At the core of the enhanced program will be a new benefit: the Vitality Wellness Program, an interactive, rewards-based program, which employees can use to set wellness goals and develop individualized wellness plans. Additionally, Human Resources is establishing an ad hoc committee of “wellness champions” – faculty and staff who will promote best practices, facilitate communications and recommend and support the implementation of wellness activities and programs at the university.
