Phi Alpha Theta, History Honor Society

A campus chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national honor society in history, was established at St. Thomas in 1950. Candidates must have completed at least three courses in history and maintained a GPA of at least 3.1 in their history courses and a GPA of 3.0 overall. This honor society gives us an opportunity to recognize the academic achievements of our history majors and minors as well as other students who have a general interest in history.  Interested students should contact Dr. Zimmerman, advisor, at 651-962-5707 or

History Club

If you enjoy history, History Club is a great way to get involved!

The club meets every other Thursday in JRC 414 during convocation hour to watch movies, hear speakers, and hang out. Food is provided at every meeting. Outside of meeting times, members are able to attend conferences, local historical tours, and museums, often at discounted prices.
