
The Health and Human Performance Department is located in the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex, pictured below.


Our area consists of a Biomechanics Lab, Physiology Lab, classroom and Computer Lab.
Biomechanics LabIn the Biomechanics lab students and faculty conduct research into the movement of the Human Body.

In the Physiology Lab students will be able to perform tests on:
1. Basal metabolic rate
2. Hydrostatic (underwater) weight to determine body composition
3. The fat burning zone during exercise
4. VO2 max and anaerobic threshold
5. Pulmonary function
6. FEV (1.0 second), VC, peak expiratory flow rate (PEFR)
The HHP computer lab consists of 20 PC's and 10 Macs, DVD players, video players and cameras. It is located next to the Biomechanics Lab. Many of our instructors use this lab for student assignments.
