Jolynn Gardner is a Certified Health Education Specialist with 20 years of experience in higher education public health. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Iowa State University, followed by a master’s in Health Promotion Management from The Ohio State University. Jolynn focused on the areas of Health Education, Public Health, and Health Services Administration for her Ph.D., which she earned in 1991, also from Ohio State. Jolynn’s professional and research interests revolve around college student health, stress management, alcohol and drug abuse, nutrition, and grief and loss issues. Jolynn is currently serving as a co-investigator on an NIH-funded study exploring weight gain prevention strategies for two-year college students. In her free time, Jolynn enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband, Chris, have two children. Allie is attending college at American University in Washington, DC and Kramer is a sophomore in high school. The Gardners love to travel and are always looking for a new adventure! Jolynn also enjoys the two family dogs, Azi and Lucie, as well as exercising and reading. |
