| Orientation to the physical education profession: the nature of the profession, professional opportunities, certification requirements, including current trends and research in elementary physical education. Skills include accelerated units of elementary physical activities and the different methods of presenting lessons. Students learn to perform and teach activities at each of the three developmental levels of elementary school childern. Successful completion of a clinical site teaching experience at teh elementary level is required. Prerequsite: PHED 202 | ||||||
